High Holy Days
Oberlin Hillel offers annual student led high holy day services including:
-Erev Rosh Hashanah
-Both days of Rosh Hashanah
-Yom Kippur (including break fast)
-A Sukkah for the Sukkot celebrations
Services for Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah are held in the main space of the Wilder building. The material comes from a wide breadth of different traditions including torah readings, folk songs and traditional prayer services. The college and conservatory give the entire school a day off during Yom Kippur.
With the help of Kosher Halal Co-op, Oberlin Hillel builds a Sukkah to celebrate Sukkot. Hillel sponsors special events under the Sukkah and welcomes all students to eat under the sukkah during the week.
